Lose Focus And Your Doomed To Fail !

Focus1

Hi Guy’s ,

Just thought I’d post about something I’ve experienced and battled with maybe someone can relate too !

Ok here goe’s you need to stay Focused to succeed , it’s a bit like Trying to Give Up Smoking or Drinking even like trying to stick to a Diet plan especially now into the New Year as many will have tried to lose the Xmas fat ha ha or trying to get a beach body for there holidays.

But the same approach applies in Business or Trying To Start an Online Business , there are two main things you need to help you achieve your goal , WILL POWER and DETERMINATION ! If you don’t have them you may as well give up now !

WHY ? ……… I hear you ask , simple reason!  Because in anything you do , You need the WILL POWER and DETERMINATION to see you through the tough or hard times to help you stay focused. Everything in Life ain’t an easy path or a straight road you need to overcome any obstacles that get in your way .

A lot of people just starting out , get all excited and over whelmed by it all and start jumping from one thing to next and never see anything through , or they try a program or course try it for a few weeks and don’t see any quick return and decide to give up and chase the next best thing hoping  Yeh! this will be the one .

Don’t get me wrong , I’ve been there so I’m speaking from personal experience . But let me also point out you can get a lot of Negativity from Peer pressure too , which all in turn adds up and plays on your mind and self-conscious which can lead to you losing focus and giving up . Sort of like Bursting Your Bubble so to speak .

What do I mean about Peer Pressure ?………. Peer pressure is from family or friends or anyone from that matter , who can’t or really don’t understand what you’re doing  and think what you’re doing is a waste of time or a Joke which will never amount to anything or achieve anything . As if in other words they think it is just one big dream that will never come true which can lead to your Negativity and Losing Focus  .

I guess this is where your WILL POWER and DETERMATION  steps in , you need to STAY FOCUSED  and BELIEVE in your dream, keep sticking at what you’re doing and your game plan . Try and IGNORE the Negativity that surrounds you . If you work at it hard enough and put the effort in ,  it will eventually pay off !

So  I guess this is my message ,  STAY FOCUSED  and BELIEVE IN YOURSELF !! NEVER GIVE UP !!

The best way to silence your critics and prove your Peers wrong , is  ACHIEVE SUCCESS !

I experience pressure from my family to speed it up and show them effects almost right after being certified as a Life Coach. What I found out here is to work on my own pace. Distractions are still my main problem but even I am getting out of track I come back as fast as it is possible. To be honest, it is a process of creation :)

    Well said Darren,

it is all in the mindset. As long as you have your mind focused, work towards your goal, and stick to your plan you will in the long run prove all the critics wrong.

This is very interesting but not because of the reason you might think. I am an education specialist. In schools in all western countries we have a situation where kids have no resilience. They do not stick to the plan. In fact we have a situation where kids are simply not willing to try. I read on FB yesterday of a child who would not read 3 sentences and literally threw his pe4n up in the air. We have lost what academics call deferred gratification, the willingness to put off consuming now in order to have a better future. This skill is what will separate the achievers of the future from also rans. A good post Darren thank you

Well hello Darren, great message and one of the reasons I am re-reading a book called The Slight Edge which emphasizes the importance of focussing on making small but consistent progress each and every day in the direction of your goals rather than hoping for the magical big leap.

    Hi Darren

    You are so right!

Lose focus and you are doomed to failure….

Never let people get in the way of your dreams and goals – don’t listen to friends and family who will try to knock you off course.

Will power and determination are definitely key to making more of yourself and your future success

    Great post.

    Darren,

For me it comes down to a little bit of selfishness in knowing what I want to achieve and then going out there and getting it. There are too many distractions out there that are designed to steal your time, focus and money and cause you to fail.

You are right in that you need to focus, and more importantly believe in what you are trying to achieve in order to be successful.

    Speak soon.

    Hi Darren,

Couldn’t agree with you more that will power and determination are two out of many essential qualities that one requires in order to become successful and achieve success. Being patient and learning how to defer instant gratification would also be great qualities to have and possess.

    Keep up the great progress

Ouch! Guilty as charged. However I am really, really doing my best to overcome this weakness. Only last night I refused to join the latest bright shiny object :-)

Focus is probably the hardest thing to do when you are working on your own and have no one to answer to as you can slip and there is no real comeback.

I struggled with my weight for many years and it was only joining a group and having weekly sessions that gave me the strength to keep going and to lose the 50 pounds that I have now achieved.

Similarly for IM in the past, mentors have been poor and just taken money without delivering and I had almost given up until I found John and his group and am now revitalised and setting my focus to create a viable, long term on-line business with my own and affiliate products

    Thanks for the post

Great post Darren it’s so true what you say about family and friends. I rarely tell anyone what I am doing because I know all I will hear is “oh that’s a scam” or “don’t waste your money” or “that”ll never work”. I don’t want that negativity so I don’t give it air-time. Makes me think about my friends/family’s real motives sometimes!

In fact this ‘bringing you down’ trait seems to be a common thing that people who are trying something different, and trying to better themselves, experience. I think it comes down to the old green eyed monster of people who are stuck in a rut would rather see you next to them in that rut as it makes them feel more comfortable, rather than you fighting your way out and getting above the naysayers.

    Your post says it all.

    Regards

    Andrew

You’re so right…too many shiny objects to distract us from our real goal. Put your shades on, so the shine from the bling doesn’t take your eyes off the prize.
